When my mojo is gone, or off a bit, one of the things I try to do is to make myself sew for just a little bit of time each day. I put on some background videos or music, and sew a few seams.
When I went over to my friend Alecia’s for another sew day, I took my Elna machine, a box of fabric strings and crumbs, and my Crumble Weave project. I finished sewing enough of the string units that I could begin putting blocks together.
So that’s what I’ve been doing over the past week. A little each day. I had a plain white jelly roll from my friend Sallie, and calculated that it would be more than enough for the strips I needed. So I decided to go ahead and use that instead of cutting additional strips from fabric yardage. I think Sallie would be pleased.
It’s still not back yet, and I’m not sure how long it will take, but I’ll continue to sew a little bit each day, and eventually it will return. And meanwhile, I’ll make progress on one of those works-in-progress that I need to finish.
