Second quilt fully finished

And, I’m even more satisfied with this quilt than the first. I feel like I got the backing a little straighter, the layers basted together a little more evenly, and it didn’t take me as long to quilt as it took the first. The binding, like the first quilt, is bias, and the stripes doing their candy-cane thing looks really nice. Both quilts finish at 33″ x 37″.

Now I have two to donate to DSAMT this Saturday when one of my quilting groups meets for sewing and sharing. I’m feeling pretty good about this so far. The real tests are coming up though – the quilts only get larger from here. I’ve been pin basting the little baby quilts, but I may switch over to spray basting when I start working on larger ones, simply because of the logistics.
