Halfway there

I haven’t been feeling great the past couple of weeks – some inner ear issues that I think may be related to jaw clenching – so I haven’t been doing as much on the quilting front.

So, I’ve been sitting a little bit more and trying to settle everything down, and knitting is the perfect craft for that. So I’ve managed to knit to just past halfway on my Anemoia shawl. Now comes the fun part, as I have passed that longest row, and I get to watch it narrow back down to the other end. And the rows will go a little more quickly each repeat that I complete.

Of course, I already have ideas about what I might want to start next. But I also have my Ren sweater to finish. The arms are about halfway complete on it, and when I tried it on last night, we agreed that I should knit about another inch or so of length on the body before binding that off. Love that I’m getting close to having another pretty sweater to wear (when it gets cooler, of course – it has been mid- to upper- 90s here, with “feels like” 105-110). I thank God for air conditioning along with all the other many blessings he has provided for us.
