Trying a pre-cut kit

Back before I started the Lady Tulip quilt, I was chatting with the girls at Sit and Sew. One of them suggested that I should just try a pre-cut quilt – just one. Well, if there was ever a pre-cut kit to try, this would be it, because of the angles and all. So I splurged.

This is Edyta Sitar’s Alaska pattern using her Practical Magic fabric collection. Thus, “Alaska Magic”. The pieces are laser cut, if I’m not mistaken. Each block is separated into its own baggie, and there are multiple blocks per bag. I chose this one because I adore the colors. I’m antsy to start it, but trying to make myself finish my foundation paper-pieced tree blocks (and really, the quilted jacket) first.

And the box is really pretty too!
