Knitting taking over

I’ve temporarily lost my quilting mojo. I’ve tried to go in and do a little sewing, but every time I do, I find myself doing something else. So I’m working on what seems like a hundred different knitting projects at the moment.

My friend Tammy has recently really gotten into sock knitting, so that’s driven me to start two new sock patterns (even though the Monkey socks I started but haven’t yet shared aren’t finished).

The first new set of socks is a mystery knit-along. I’ve completed the first section on both socks. These are knit from the toe-up, which I’ve really only knit once (well, twice, but it was the same pattern and same yarn, just a different color). I am still ambivalent about those socks, so I thought I’d try this pattern to give the technique another shot. I usually knit my socks from the cuff-down, and had to have a refresh on the cast-on which is different.

I picked one of my Knit Picks Stroll colors from stash (of which I had two 50g balls), Sprinkle Heather, and the toe start photo shows the color nicely. It’s a super soft yarn, and has become a favorite to knit socks (or anything of fingering weight).

I’m still working on the Mix Tape Tee, which is about 3/4 complete, the Anker Tee, the Trifle wrap, and last night I cast on a pair of Ghosties! socks with some yarn from stash that I bought in 2018. I’m hoping it will complement the pattern well. I’ll try to post a photo of that when I get through the colorwork section of the leg (hoping they fit!).
