Bright bloom

As promised from the State of Quilting post, here is my newest bloom block. The center diamonds are fussy cut from Tula Pink’s 2012 Salt Water collection (Bubble Shells in the seaweed colorway), and the large hexagons are from her 2018 All Stars collection (Tail Feathers in the iris colorway).

Just two more blocks to make for this quilt, which is still on my design wall, hidden behind a flannel-backed table cloth that I’m using as a secondary design wall. Yes, crazy, I know. But they aren’t laid out in rows, and they will go in a specific order, so I can’t just take them down until they’re all done and a photo taken for placement during assembly piecing. But one block closer now!
