I had been eyeing the plaid for this version of the Sunshine and Shadow Starburst block, and pulled out some pink fabric from the scrap bin that I thought would coordinate nicely. When I got to the turquoise/teals, though, I went in a little different direction than I originally intended. So the interior of the block is a bit darker than I wanted, but I think it still works.
I actually like this combination quite a lot. Even with the deep teals, it seems very feminine and soft – probably due to the floral prints. I think that’s about 10 of the blocks so far.
