I finally finished knitting the Matisse Blue colorway Age of Brass and Steam Kerchief for my friend Georgia, so I’ll be able to give it to her tomorrow. She may be able to wear it a bit the remainder of this season, but it will probably be more useful next winter.
I love this color. It seems pretty close to the hue that our local high school uses in its logo/mascot/color scheme. I didn’t pin out this shawl to block it – I just laid it flat and shaped it. I did have to rinse it a couple of extra times. All of that blue dye that makes it so vibrant discolored my fingers just a little as I worked on it, so I wanted to get as much of the excess out as I could so she doesn’t have to worry about something like that.
