I have skirt plans

A couple of friends took a quilting class with Annie Smith recently (she’s the quilter whose online Quilter’s Palette class I took in, I think it was, 2009). They mentioned that she was also teaching her Bespoke Skirt pattern to another set of students after their class. One of those friends bought that pattern and showed it to me, as she has plans to make one.

I saw it and knew that I just needed to make one myself! So I ran over to her website and ordered the pattern. I just received it in the mail (thank you Annie!), and read through the directions. I pulled out my layer cakes storage box, and actually found two that I think will make fabulous Bespoke skirts, completely different colorways/styles, pictured in the photo above.

I just need to measure to make sure I’m making the right size, then get to cutting and laying out on my design wall. I can’t wait to see them come together, and hopefully I’ll get them completed soon enough to wear to the Original Sew & Quilt Expo-Nashville in October. She is a scheduled teacher here, and it has been a few years since I last saw her.
