I wanted to try a little bit finer yarn weight, so I went to Hobby Lobby and found their Baby Bee Sweet Delight yarn in the Baby’s Blue color. It is between a fingering and sport weight 60% acrylic/40% polyamide yarn, and it is super soft.
The pattern I chose for this hat was the newborn size of the Very Basic Baby Beanie pattern by Janet D. Russell. I think it turned out really nicely, and with the stretchy cast on, should fit a newborn head perfectly.
