A tiny modification

So far, only one tiny modification has been required, and likely no one will ever know except me (and I’ll probably forget it some day).

I started knitting section 4 with the pink. I got a couple of repeats in, and realized, hmmm… that ball of yarn is getting really small, and I don’t know that it’s going to make it. The next row I weighed the yarn at the beginning and at the end, and calculated how much I would approximately need, and realized I would be about one row short. So I modified the pattern repeat to ensure I should have the correct number of stitches without knitting that extra row. I ended up with about 12 inches of yarn at the end. Cutting it close!

I did the same when I started the blue section, and I believe I should have enough for that with a tiny bit extra left over. We shall see. It’s getting close to the finish on this one, and I’m excited to start my next shawl – I’ve wound up my yarn, but made a promise not to begin it until this one is done.
