I completed the back piece of my Affiknity pullover a few days ago, and decided to go ahead and start on the front piece. It is knit in a unique way so that the cables are actually the sides of pockets on the front.
I attached the pocket linings to the knitting and began knitting up the front, but at some point in the instructions, I’ll sew the remaining sides of the pocket linings to the front of the pullover. I had actually knit one pocket lining to the wrong side and had to pull it all out and start it over, but fortunately it only took a couple of hours to complete.
We went to the pharmacy and got some more medicine hoping to kick this stupid sinus issue. I’m concerned that I’ll have laryngitis soon with all the coughing I’ve been doing. It feels just like the problem I had last year, and I’m wondering now if it’s seasonal (especially with all the dry weather we’ve had lately).
Oh well, I’m knitting up a storm while mostly sitting still otherwise, drinking plenty of tea and water. At least my knitting is really getting some focus, and I’m certainly not bored. With this sort of progress, I might just continue on even if I get well until I finish the sweater – it would be nice to have a third garment project completed this year.
