This block came together pretty quickly, like the last one. I had a couple of fabrics I could have chosen for the darkest, but I really liked the graphic “blocks” print. I’ve used that fabric in several quilts. It provides a great contrast to the bright, bold floral medium print. And the sweet light floral print on white reminds me of old bed sheets. Do they even make bed sheets in prints like those anymore? These days they seem quite boring solids mostly.
I’ve got two more blocks on the design board – the half square triangles are pieced, and I’m just working on choosing the complementary fabrics. I think I’ve settled on those – but the true test will be once I cut the fabrics and place the pieces to make sure they’ll work before sewing them all together.
