Block assembly

I finally pieced the last of the sashing strips to the string units this morning, and so now I can commence with the final block assembly and trimming. It feels like it is taking a long time, but it really isn’t, now that I can devote more time to quilt making each week.

I’m starting to think about what’s up next – and I bought some So Fine thread on a cone recently to use with my Juki. I really want to clear out some of the smaller quilts that I’ve built up over the past few years, so I think that will be my next “project”. But I will also work on some existing projects and possibly piecing a baby quilt or two.
