Step one
This step uses the bowtie blocks from Part 9.

I sewed a 6 1/2″ background square to the left of the bowtie block. The bowtie is pointing lower left to upper right. I did this for each of the bowtie blocks that I had made.
Step two
This step uses the other blocks from Part 9.

I then sewed a 9 1/2″ by 6 1/2″ rectangle to the other block, making sure that my four-patches ran in a diagonal line from upper left to lower right. I repeated for the remaining identical block.
Step three
This step uses the blocks from Part 8.

I positioned the block on the left with all of the diagonals going from upper left to lower right. I sewed a 9 1/2″ by 3 1/2″ strip to the right side of this block. Then I repeated for the identical remaining block.
