Easy Breezy, finally

All of the blocks for this quilt were pieced before my vision issues began back in November. In fact, I had already pieced them into rows, and had started piecing one set of rows together.

I took this quilt with me to the retreat as a “backup” project, so that just in case, if I should happen to finish my brother’s quilt, I’d have one more to work on. Honestly, I didn’t think I’d get to it, let alone finish piecing it together. But Friday (our last full day), I pulled it off. That’s two finished quilts in my latest chapter of life! I’ll still take it slow, and there will likely be some things I can no longer do, but that I am able to sew and create more quilt tops is such a far cry from where I was a few short months ago.

  1. Wowza! What a beautifully scrappy quilt! Quilt retreats are great for having a large block of time to get things finished.
