I’m really pleased with this bloom. I drew inspiration for the middle tier of pieces from an Instagram post. I completely changed (again) the fabric I was going to use for this area of the quilt.
The center hexie is from the Eek print (Bluebird colorway) of 2017’s Tabby Road collection. Can you see the tiny mouse hiding in the leaf?
The middle jewel pieces are from the White Caps print (Sea Glass colorway) of 2018’s Zuma collection.
And I love that I can use other parts of some of the feature prints and you may not recognize what those prints are for the large bloom hexies. This blue is from the Frog Prince print (Orchid colorway) of 2018’s All Stars collection. This section is taken from the background between the little frog heads. That print is both quirky and beautiful.
And now I’ve pinned it in place on the design wall.
