Building little blocks

I’ve taken some of those little 1½” half square triangles that I’ve been making and put two together… then I put two of those together…

And then I put four of those together with little 1″ strips and squares… and I’ve made 5 more of these tiny, tiny blocks (for a total of 7 so far).

They’re about 5″ square, so they’ll finish at 4½” in whatever size quilt I decide to make. I’ll also have to decide on a sashing color between the blocks. I’m thinking those will also have to be 1″ wide, finishing at ½” to match the scale of these little cuties.

I probably have enough units pieced to make at least 5 more blocks, maybe 10. Then I’ll have to start making some more half square triangles to go with the ones in my box so I have a nice mixture.
