May 2022 WIPGO

As I worked on two Chatelaines again this month, it might seem like there wasn’t much progress on either. Most of what I did was just cross stitches, a little backstitching, not really any specialty stitches.

May’s called numbers are 8, 13 (which I’d already colored in as it’s the free space), and 14. I’m hoping to finish that little Owl block for Celtic Quilt (mostly the border plus some specialty stitches on the Owl and in the background).

I haven’t worked on Alpine Seasons Mandala since I started it at the end of 2021, so I’m looking forward to visiting the start of that design again.

As I look at some of the remaining projects on the WIPGO board, I’ve been feeling (once again) like there are two which no longer fit where I am in my life now. Priorities change, and so I’m re-examining whether I will continue to work on the Chinese Dragon Gate. While it’s a pretty design, I just don’t know that I want to devote precious time to it anymore.

The other project I’m on the fence about is Bluebeard’s Princess. I love the colors, and the design is pretty far along. Again, I’m not sure if I want to devote precious time to that when I have so many other things that I want to do.

So I may remove those projects from my WIPGO list and replace them with other projects. I think it’s good to reflect and re-evaluate every so often to make sure projects are aligned with current priorities.
