First things first – this is NOT my quilt.
But this IS the inspiration behind the one I am making, that I’m calling Sunshine and Shadow Starburst. I found the photo as I was organizing some things on my computer.
I’d love to know the actual name of it, if the pattern actually exists. It appears that either whoever took the photo (not me, as I don’t have an original – I likely saved this off of Facebook) was at a quilt show. I don’t know if it was their quilt, or if it was one that they also admired.
Anyway, I am not planning on making mine using black sashing, though that is striking. I haven’t decided what color sashing I’ll use, but I’m thinking something a bit lighter. And I think I’m planning on 36 blocks (6 x 6) instead of 20 as are in this quilt, but we’ll see.
