After finishing laundry and other chores around the house Saturday, I was able to open up my sewing room. The kitties love when I do that – they rush in and look to see what’s going on in the world through the two windows there. Then they usually settle down for a nice nap in one of the beds or on the cat tree.
I turned on an audiobook, the iron, and my sewing machine, and worked on piecing rows – rows of blocks and rows of sashing strips. By the end of the evening, I had finally gotten all of the blocks and sashing strips pieced into separate rows. Then I also pieced one set of blocks to one set of sashing strips. Lots of pins are involved, and sewing one to the other takes lots of time, but there is progress!
