The second side took longer than the first for whatever reason, but the stem stitch embroidered scrollwork is complete now.
I think I’ve mentioned before that the middle panel has two sections, so I’ve started working on the bottom section now. It has several leaves (both cotton and wool), along with a bunch of “round” flowers. I hope to get it finished by the weekend. For the cotton flowers, I went ahead and used the freezer paper and starch method to create the pieces. I still hate that method, but since I started with it, I decided to go ahead and finish with it. However, I’m stitching those down by machine with invisible thread and a tiny zigzag stitch. I’ll know from now on what method I prefer to use and substitute if necessary.
