I waited until nearly the end of the month to pull out my Affiknity sweater and work on it some more. I previously had knit the ribbing plus a few rows of the pattern. Even though I have knit cables before, this design will be a bit more of a challenge. I’m doing the “lazy purl” to tighten up my purl stitches, and the sweater will be knit in pieces and then seamed (plus there are pockets on the front!), which I haven’t done since I knit my very first sweater.
All that being said, I’m so happy with the yarn (Valley Yarns Northampton). It is 100% wool, not superwash, and I love the feel (rustic and yet soft) and look of it – the way those cables just pop.
