Well, it took me nearly the entire month to get it done, but I finished block 2 (of 16) for my Chatelaine Designs Celtic Quilt. This one was really interesting to watch develop.
The border is the same in all of these blocks, so I worked on it first.

Then, once I’d finished the entire border except for the beads and crystals, I began working on the heart design. It uses a combination of full and half crosses, one strand and two strands.

Adding in the half stitches using a couple of different overdyed silks really changed the look entirely. It now has a much softer/watercolor look. I really love those little beaded flowers that were added at the end too.

And here is the first block I did – finished in June 2019.
