Bluebeard’s Princess

As much as I like the look of designs on dark fabric, I have to admit I detest stitching them on dark fabric.

That is probably the biggest “lesson” or reminder from revisiting this design. I plan to finish it, but I do not enjoy the process of stitching it right now. I probably would have been better off to have used the recommended fabric that was used for the model, which appears to be a shade of olive green, but I’m not going to re-start it.

I do love how sparkly the design is, which is hard to see in flat photographs. It has a lot of beads, and that is one of my favorite embellishments for cross stitch.

During the month of January, I decided to work on the tail fin on the right side of her body.
