Well, this clue took a bit longer than the previous ones, and I could have done it much more easily and quickly, but it was totally worth it to do it the “hard” way – with string piecing!
I used strips in sizes from approximately 3/4-inch to 2-inches wide, and pulled out my trusty Elna Carina. She sews these to paper foundations so nicely.
So yeah, they could have been solid pieces of fabric, and I’d have been finished before clue 7 came out this past Friday. But they wouldn’t have been anywhere near as beautiful. And there is more string piecing to come!
