This is a quilt that I finished back in March for my husband’s cousin. I used all scrappy 2-inch strips, and decided on the layout after sewing all of the blocks. It was quilted by Marty Galbreath in a great wavy pattern that I think complements the quilt perfectly.
I also decided on scrappy binding, and it really worked perfectly with the design. Plus, I already had the binding ready, I just needed to piece the strips to each other.
I think he loves it. He was definitely surprised when I dropped it off to him in April.
Melissa, it’s beautiful!! I’m sure he loves it. And I like the quilting pattern, too; it helps set off the log cabin pattern. Well Done! (and thanks for the two close-up photos)
