T-shirt keepsakes

I finished these up a week ago, but didn’t get a chance to post about them until today. It’s been both a busy week and a not busy week – I’ve been obsessed with a new video game, and have been spending a ton of time playing it when not doing my usual running around and regular household management.

I finished the first pillow, and decided to add snaps to the back to help keep the envelope tuck together. I used the t-shirt fronts for the back, and I really love how they turned out.

I matched (as best I could) the snaps to the color of the t-shirt material, and I think they turned out really nice.

Apparently I forgot to take a photo of the back of pillow 2, but I managed to have an orange snap that was really close to the fabric color for it as well.

This is what it looked like before adding the pillow form.

And this is the third pillow finished.

Each of the pillows’ coordinating fabrics came from my friend Sallie’s stash, if I didn’t mention that in the first post. I looked through my fabrics, but had none that really fit the mood and colors I wanted to use. She continues to bless me even though she’s no longer here.

And the friend for whom I made these keepsakes just loves them, which makes my heart happy.
