Second buffalo plaid

I had more square-ish pieces left over from the ones that were donated (that I made the first buffalo plaid quilt from), so I began looking through my stash and found a piece of fabric large enough in a good, coordinating dark color to make this second quilt top that will be donated to Wrap Them in Hugs.

I’ve been piecing it together through all the life things and organizing lately, when I would get a little time here and there, and I finally had enough time to finish the top yesterday afternoon. The dark is a really dark wine, though it may look a little brown in the photo. I thought it was perfect with the dusky mauve color. And I pulled out a muslin for the light, since I had enough of it too.

I made this one large enough for a man by adding two additional rows of squares (11 by 15).

Organization mini-win: I pulled out all of my flannel scraps and put them in a big bag and dropped them off at Smart Art. Hopefully they will find the right person who needs/wants them! Now I have a tiny bit more breathing room.
