We recently received a donation of some fabrics and scraps at the quilting ministry I’ve been making some quilt tops for recently. When I saw two stacks of mint green and brown prints, I thought they would look perfect together. I searched around for different patterns that could work and found a buffalo plaid quilt. I pulled the white print from stash, calculated the number of pieces I needed for the size I had (5 inch squares once I trimmed them all down to the same size), and set to work.
From there it was very easy to piece together. I had my three stacks of fabrics, and I looked at my drawing, pulled the first two rows and began piecing, webbing everything together. I still have some of the brown left over, so I might try another version with it and two fabrics from my stash. I really like the way this one turned out, and it was so simple to put together once I had everything cut.
