Ever since I saw my friend Tammy’s Derecho tee, I’ve been wanting to start one of my own. The yarn the pattern calls for is Berroco Remix Light. It’s 437 yards per 100g, which I would normally classify as a fingering weight yarn, but for some reason it’s classified as a DK weight, which is generally larger/heavier/thicker.
I chose the Eggplant shade, and it has little flecks of other colors (including hot pink). It’s a 100% recycled yarn, consisting of 30% Nylon, 27% Cotton, 24% Acrylic, 10% Silk, and 9% Linen. That should be a nice combination for another summer tee, and I love the deep purple “tweed”. Here’s a closeup photo of the yarn:
