I got to the point of washing and blocking the pieces of my Affiknity sweater. Then I sat down to start seaming. I was willing to deal with an oversized sweater. The sleeves were extra long, and I had to squish the pieces to get them to sort of fit the size from the schematic.
Then I watched the video on how to seam the shoulder saddle to the front and the back. I pulled my pieces out and sat down, and immediately realized something was very wrong. I don’t know how it happened, but somehow I managed not to do a lot of the decreases on either side of the front piece. So the would not match.
I’ve had it with this project. I’m done. For other reasons I won’t go into here, I became disenchanted with it over the last few years. When I restarted it, I thought I had gotten past the issues, but I’d rather just reclaim the yarn and knit something else with it.
Moving on! Besides, I should have something else pretty to share soon that I’ve been working on recently. So I’m going to finish that up, then share it with you as a palate cleanser. On to better things!!
