Organizing a bit

I haven’t been sewing much this week, as my yarn closet has been nagging me. I had a bunch of donated yarns that I hadn’t gone through to make sure it was appropriate for the charity hats I knit (there were a bunch of baby yarns, especially ones that had been partially knit or crocheted into blankets – and I do mean partially, not even halfway). Since those don’t work as well for the hats (including chemo caps) I knit, I decided to further donate them and get them out of my closet.

I also decided it was time to organize my mini-skeins and leftovers. They were stored in a variety of different locations, with no rhyme or reason to their storage. I pulled all of them out and began sorting by color. I took the panorama photo when I was a little over halfway through. Then I put each color set into see-through bags so when I’m looking for a shade of a color, I don’t have to dig through a bunch of different bags.

It may not last, but it made me happy to revisit all the pretty colors and get inspired to finish up some things so I can get on to other things!
