Ups
Enjoying my knitting and crochet projects thoroughly. I feel like this “season” of life is contentment with my knitting, and stretching myself just a bit in improving different knitting skills. We went shopping the other day to a couple of yarn stores in the area, and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to touch and see in person all the gorgeous yarns and colors.
My Sock Scraps Granny Square blanket is so close now! I started working on those final two rows – I’m down to two squares already crocheted, so for the remainder of the blanket, I’ll probably crochet each one as I add it, so I can choose the yarn colors for the best variety. I have quite a few new mini-skeins from which to choose.
Downs
These darn sinuses. It feels like they improve for a short time and then get worse again. The Spring season with its accompanying allergens doesn’t help.
My quilty mojo. I’m almost finished with my next charity quilt top, but I haven’t had the impetus to work on it lately. I’m also struggling with decisions regarding letting go of some more projects/techniques. Part of me knows that I likely won’t do much, if any, more wool felt applique. I have 3 project boxes full of wool felt scraps. I’d really like to reclaim those boxes for storing some of the yarns I use for charity hats. It’s just making the decision and finding someone who really enjoys wool felt applique, who would like to have (and USE) those scraps.
Until then, I’ll just keep plugging along in other things.
