Let there be light

We went to a sewing and quilting expo that was held a couple of weekends ago, and believe it or not I did not buy any fabric.

I did buy something that has become extremely useful with my vision issues, and the difference is just incredible to me – several versions of ceramic LED lights.

The above photo show “before” I installed them. Of course, my phone camera auto-adjusts, so it’s difficult to really compare with photos, but the “after” photo is still pretty remarkable.

As you can see, the machine itself looks darker because of the brightness of the lights. This one is a Twin M150 (there are actually two attached lights, one I put in the middle of the harp and one I put just above the right side of the needle).

I also bought Quad-bright M120 replacements for my old strips of LED lights on other machines, and there really is no comparison there either. Expensive? Well, more expensive than the little strip lights I bought from Amazon, but far, far brighter. And made in the USA, which makes me even more supportive. Excellent product so far, and highly recommended!
