It has been a while since I worked on some hand quilting. After my shoulder surgery in 2014, I have had more difficulty in doing much hand quilting because my arm and shoulder fatigues quickly now with that process.
But I’m thinking of trying it again – I’d really like to finish my Fall Frolic quilt, which was a block of the month organized by Primitive Gatherings Quilt Shop in 2013. The Fall Frolic design was by Tara Lynn Darr for Sew Unique Creations.
In 2015, I managed to finish the quilting on the central pumpkin and floral motif.
And in 2017, I was working on quilting some of the other background fabrics. I was quilting around each leaf, and then approximately a quarter-inch away from some of the seams.
I haven’t worked on it much since then. If we have Sit n Sew this week, I think I’ll take this project with me to see if I can make some more progress.
