One alternate trail block

I made one block to test out my block design, and realized that I need to press these a little differently to avoid a few bulky seams. I originally sewed four-patches for the corners and pressed them all the same way. That resulted in four seams that could have been less bulky. So in the future, I’ll sew this block in rows in order to press all of the seams toward the plain squares. That will make all of the seams nest perfectly.

I’ve been cutting out all of the half square triangle pieces to make the rest of the blocks for my new “block B” and putting the stacks of pieced half square triangles, quarter square triangles, and white, yellow, and garnet squares together for block assembly. I should have a Sit and Sew soon (even if it’s just in my sewing room by myself), so I’m hoping to make some good progress on getting these completed.
