Ever since I turned in the last batch of hats for community giving, I’ve tried to have at least one or two on my needles, especially for the waiting room, travel, and some tv knitting.
The one above is the number 24. I knit the Simple Sample hat again in Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn Stonewash variety – I think the color was denim, and it looks like it would match with anything worn.
Here are some more in the order that I’ve finished them. I didn’t quite get one per week completed, but I did finish 37, plus a few others for a dear friend who had some special requests.
25. Five Rings Beanie, Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn Stonewash (Denim). This is a new-to-me favorite (and free!) pattern that’s actually from 2014.26. Sunset hat, leftover yarns including the last of that stonewash denim, which was the inspiration for this combination of colors27. Five Rings Beanie in Yarn Bee Soft Secret (Pumpkin spice). The yarn is very, soft, but also quite shiny, which could be a positive or negative, depending on your preferences.28. Generic 80-stitch beanie in Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek Prints (Violet Stripe, I think)29. Five Rings Beanie Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek Prints (Violet Stripe, again, finished off with another remnant of another Soft & Sleek color)30. Generic 80 stitch beanie in Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn Prints (Amber Honey)31. Peggotty, in Yarn Bee Soft Secret (Pumpkin Spice) and Berroco Vintage (Snow Day). I love how the Berroco Vintage and the use of this pattern helps calm down the shiny of the orange yarn. Definitely a combo to remember for future projects with that type of yarn.32.
