I finished cutting the remaining squares needed for the High Cotton charity quilt and laid them out on my design wall. I initially thought I’d use this layout, but changed my mind to make it like the criss-crossed layout I used in my dad’s High Cotton quilt.
I used scraps and some much lighter background fabrics in the charity quilt, so it doesn’t always have a high contrast for those criss-crossed areas, but I think it will still look great once it is all put together and quilted. I’ve just started, so maybe, depending on everything else that’s going on, I can finish putting it together this week.
