More afghan blocks

I found another block which I hadn’t shared, and then I made another one. The one I hadn’t shared is above, using some bright Tula Pink fabrics.

I had already cut out all of the pieces I needed to make the next one, so I went ahead and put it together too. That makes 10 total blocks so far.

And while they do take a fair amount of attention to make (so you get the pieces in the right places and direction), they are just adorable and so much fun to make!

Oh, and just to document another quilting decision: I’ve recently sold all of my wool felt and the pearl cotton embroidery threads used with them. As much as I loved doing wool felt embroidery and applique before 2023, I just don’t have the vision, time, or patience required to pursue that part of this hobby any more. When I think of what I enjoy doing most at this time, the majority of techniques involve charity projects. And wool felt embroidery and applique doesn’t really fit into that purpose. I may take the couple of pretty little pots that I’ve made and put them into a small wallhanging for my craft room as a sweet memory of that time. There are several other projects that I have started that I may also put away or sell to someone who is interested, but I’ll save those thoughts for another day. One thing at a time.
