As promised

I started my other new Heartfelt cardigan! I completely forgot about the way this one was constructed, but I knew it was a neat way to create the seamless, integrated neckband/collar and lace edging down the front.

The first time I made this pattern, I cast on as the pattern directed. You end up having to pick up those cast-on edge stitches after knitting a certain length in one direction. This time I decided to try a provisional cast-on so those stitches would be on a spare cable, ready to begin knitting. Fingers crossed that the garment structure isn’t negatively affected. I found several others have knit theirs this way, so I think I might be okay doing it this way.

I also have my original pattern that was marked up and ready for a second go. I think it’s going well so far! I think this yarn has such a depth of color, and I’m excited to knit on it.
