I thought about naming this “Make Nine 2025” in conjunction with a yearlong knit along, but I don’t really know if I’ll complete nine more knitting projects this year (excluding charity hats), and this post doesn’t include nine objects (yet).
I’ve just started one, however, and plan to start another as soon as I’ve finished my Framed Sweater.
Ausable
The one I just started is the Ausable cardigan with Cascade Yarn Eco Wool I bought for another project (I’m sensing a theme here) in 2019. The other project was seamed, and I’m just not doing that. I found this free pattern online, and thought it would be a good comfy cardigan with this wool.

This cardigan uses a moss stitch all over texture with some cables down the sleeves and the back.

Heartfelt #2

A second Heartfelt cardigan out of Ruby and Roses Soft Rose yarn in the color Brave New World. This cardigan is one of my absolute go-to’s for when I need a little lightweight warmth. My first one is a cool pale gray, so this would be a great contrast/wardrobe staple. It may have a little purple like the swatch, but it’s mostly warm brown tones.
All of the Lights

This is another cardigan by Joji Locatelli. With yarn purchased in 2015 for another pieced cardigan, I’ve opted instead for this lovely cardigan with seamless but “creative and challenging” construction. Hey, if I can knit her Looking Back and Rhapsody in Cables cardigans, I can do this!
Weekender

The Weekender sweater by DreaReneeKnits knit in some Soft Donegal yarn (olive) purchased in 2016 should make another great wear-anytime sweater.
Flax #2

I really like the fit of the first Flax sweater that I knit in January 2021. I’d love to have another, and I think this emerald Studio Donegal Soft Donegal (2016) will be perfect.
Not only that, but I don’t have any emerald green sweaters. I definitely need one!
Breathing Space #2

A second Breathing Space sweater with yarn purchased in 2017. I love the assymetrical lines of my first (browns) Breathing Space sweater, and bought yarn for a second one in blues right after I finished the first, but I haven’t made it yet because – squirrel!
