It’s pretty incredible how much you can get done. I’m almost at the point where I’ll split the front and back. I’ve decided that I’m not a fan of a cropped sweater, and this one is semi-cropped as written, so I’m adding a half repeat of the pattern, which is essentially one star row.
It should be easier to see the pattern once I’ve washed and blocked it, but I’m thrilled with the colors as they’re knitting up so far. I’ve been working on this project almost singularly since my recent surgery, and I haven’t tired of it yet. The good news is that I’m also starting to feel almost myself again. I’m finally able to go back in my sewing room and do a little sewing. All of the recent quilt top finishes that I’ve shared were put together before the surgery.
My only concern at this point is that I may need to get one more skein of the contrast yarn. I have plenty of the white background and the Pacific (teal) frame color, but I may need a little extra of the Spincycle Dream State Deep Bump. As I get closer to the sleeves, I’ll have a better idea and we might make a little yarn run. But maybe not! Time will tell.
