Sweater update

I have been able to knit a little off and on lately (being laid up on the couch when I wasn’t in the bed sleeping), so I’ve managed to finish the front section of the sweater.

I also knit part of the sleeves and started the back.

I think I’ve mentioned it before, but the construction of this sweater is really unique. The front is knit top to bottom so the cable runs horizontally, and the back is mostly knit side to side to the cables run vertically as you see in most sweaters.

It’s a drop-shoulder/boxy design with some positive ease through the body, so the sleeves look shorter than they are when it’s worn. But they are still a little shorter than I think I’d like (when finished with ribbing), so once I finish everything else, we’ll see how much yarn I have left and how much length I want to add.

Oh, and I absolutely love this color. Malabrigo Rios in Ivy.
