The official pattern name is Shell Cove, but I am still calling these my watermelon socks. I don’t know why I chose these colors together for this sock, I just wanted something bright compared to what I’ve been knitting for socks. The color names (Knit Picks Stroll) are Candy Pink and Key Lime Heather. I think they were limited time colors because they’re not available on the Knit Picks website now. Out of a 50g ball, I knit all but 6g of the Candy Pink.
Now that I’ve finished them, I have fresh needles to cast on socks for my mom. I decided on Knit Picks Stroll Tweed (Oyster Heather) for cuffs, heels, and toes. I knit 2 by 2 rib for 13 rounds.
I chose Knit Picks Stroll (Dogwood Heather) for the main body of the socks. and knit 6 rounds plain stockinette. Then I decided I wanted something a little more – but not too much. I chose the pattern from the V for Valentine socks. I’ve only just started it, so you can’t really see the pattern yet, but I think it will be sweet in this yarn.
