We got a bit of a reprieve this week, as we didn’t have quite as many to make of clue 3 as we have of the two previous clues. I again used my browns as a substitution for Bonnie’s reds, and I think they came out pretty nice.
I’m glad to have gotten these finished and out of the way because of all the things that have been coming up already this week. Our smoke detectors are likely over 15 years old (they’re definitely over 10), and the one in our garage won’t stop chirping even with the battery changed. So after doing some research, I’ve learned that they have an expected life of about 10 years. Sigh, guess it’s time to replace them all, because as soon as we just do the one, the others will start chiming in to be replaced, and that would be super annoying. At least in the garage, we can ignore the chirping a little better.
We returned some DVDs to the library and borrowed some different ones. CC has been looking for some movies to watch (that he hasn’t seen before), so we’ve found a few of those. Then I ran over to the store to buy some yarn (on sale – 40% off) for our Dorcas class charity hats. I plan to get back to that after the first of the year – rotating it in with everything else.
Tomorrow we plan to dismantle two old cat trees and assemble the replacements. Our cats are very aggressive with their trees, and I guess that’s better than the furniture.
I’ve also been lining up some dental work that will happen in January (joy!), and thankfully it wasn’t as cold today so I put some gas in the car. It’s all the little things that just add up to drain off all the time in the day. So thankful that I am able to do it all during the day and not after work now!
