And it’s (as I think I mentioned before) my favorite unit – four patches! A ton of them! Bonnie’s color choice for this clue was red, but I’ve decided to swap out my browns for her reds in this quilt.
In addition to cutting some brown and neutral strips, I pulled out my previously cut scraps in the size needed for this clue, which helped increase my variety a little bit.
I pieced about 20-25% of the number needed each day until they were done, then I put the remaining scraps back in the containers for the next time they’re needed.
I think I will be subbing out the third color as well (peach/melon?), but I haven’t committed yet. I tried to be very deliberate in choosing my browns so they don’t go too light, since I’m thinking I’ll use very light browns/tans instead for the third color.
