The red anvil blocks are finished, and after several attempts, I decided on a layout.
I’ve stacked and pinned the blocks for webbing, and this should be the quilt design when it’s pieced together.
The blocks are 8 inches square and my layout is 8 blocks wide by 10 blocks long, which should make for an approximate 64″ x 80″ finish.
I ordered some red fabric with large white stars for backing, and I think I should have enough of it leftover for binding as well.
That quilt is breathtaking!!! Do you use a scant quarter inch or a quarter inch foot? They look perfect!
Thank you! I have a quarter inch foot that I use, and I try to abut the seams (having them pressed in opposite directions) wherever possible, which helps a lot too. 🙂
