It looks like I’ve decided this is an imperative project for the retreat I’m going to be attending soon. I’m obsessed with cutting enough strip sets to make the entire quilt, not just get it started, which is super-ambitious.
I think I have all of the light sets cut and clipped, and have been working on dark and medium sets to complete the necessary fabrics needed. I might swap out a lighter yellow for one that seems like it could be a little more toward medium tones in tne photo above.
I think to make sure I have what I want to use, I’ll separate the mediums and darks as well, just to check the values and fill in where needed.
We have another project we’ll be working on at the retreat, so I have no illusions that I’ll start and finish this quilt at the retreat, but I think I should make some decent progress on it. We shall see!
