I also pulled out my current socks WIP and began knitting the foot a couple of weeks ago. I decided to knit one repeat of the pattern (6 rounds) on each sock, each day that I worked on them.
The pattern is the Snow Forest socks by Kay Jones of Bakery Bears designs. I may have mentioned before that I enjoy watching their video show (available on apple podcasts without any ads that you might get on youtube!)
The yarn is Knit Picks Stroll Tweed in the Barley Heather and Atlantis Heather colorways.
I must have knit a few extra rounds somewhere within the pattern, because one leg is slightly longer than the other, but that’s okay – I doubt I’ll ever really notice when I have them on.
I like the pattern, but I did the 56 stitch option, and I probably should have done the 64 stitch option. I did a 68 stitch sock for CC with the same yarn, so I thought 64 stitches would have been too loose. 60 is probably ideal for my foot and leg, but I didn’t feel like making the minor modifications for that when I started. Lesson learned!
I plan to start another pair of socks for myself with the Knit Picks Stroll Tweed yarn next. I am really curious to see how they wear for me, since his socks are doing great so far.
